Are you friendly, organised, and passionate about helping people? We’re looking for a Receptionist/Administrator to be the welcoming face of our busy GP practice and a key part of keeping our patient services running smoothly.

This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You’ll be on the frontline of patient care, working with a compassionate team that values professionalism, confidentiality, and top-tier service. This role would be ideal for a person who has previous experience in a care environment or someone with good experience as an administrator. 

 

What You'll Do: 

  • Greet and check-in patients with warmth and professionalism
  • Book appointments and manage phone, email, and face-to-face queries
  • Process prescription requests and update patient records accurately
  • Handle payments, post, faxes, emails, and other administrative tasks
  • Keep the reception area and consulting rooms tidy and well-stocked
  • Manage patient registrations and support online service queries
  • Send referral forms and liaise with hospitals and community services
  • Maintain absolute confidentiality and comply with data protection laws

  • A calm, courteous, and caring attitude
  • Strong communication and IT skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
  • A commitment to confidentiality and data security
  • Flexibility to cover shifts and adapt to changing priorities
  • Accurate recording skills and a friendly, approachable manner

Due to the nature of this position, employment is subject to proof of eligibility to work in the UK, completion of a satisfactory standard DBS disclosure and three years of references.
